Professional path

11+ years in rail logistics, 28 years of entrepreneurial experience.

Professional activity began with entrepreneurial work in Lysychansk, Ukraine, in the mid-1990s. The logistics direction took shape from 2000 onward, with specialization in rail logistics for bulk commodities starting in 2013. From 2015 to 2024 — founding and operational leadership of LLC HRANBUDTORH in Kharkiv, within which the Anywhere Logistics methodology was developed and industrially deployed.

2015 — 2024
Founder and Director, LLC HRANBUDTORH
Kharkiv, Ukraine. Built from scratch an operational business for transloading bulk and inert materials on public-use rail track. Developed and industrially deployed an in-house technology for unloading gondola cars without permanent receiving infrastructure. Launched two mobile hubs at the Kharkiv-Balashovsky (renamed Kharkiv-Slobidsky in 2023) and Kharkiv-Sortuvalny stations. All management, technological, and commercial decisions — taken personally.
2013 — 2015
Consultant, rail supply of bulk construction materials
Kharkiv, Ukraine. Accumulated practical expertise in the logistics of crushed stone, sand, and cement in the eastern region of Ukraine. Studied structural constraints of receiving infrastructure across the rail network — which later defined the direction of the entrepreneurial venture.
2000 — 2013
Logistics and distribution business
Ukraine. Long-standing operational experience in distribution with in-house logistics. This period shaped a working understanding of the operational economics of transport legs and their impact on the final cost of goods.
1996 — 1999
Early entrepreneurial experience
Lysychansk, Ukraine. B2B sales of liquefied petroleum gas in railcar lots (rail tank cars). First hands-on experience with rail transport; built a B2B client base from the ground up.

Flagship venture

LLC HRANBUDTORH — nine years of bringing the methodology into commercial reality.

The company was founded in 2015 in Kharkiv as the operational vehicle for the practical implementation of the mobile transload hub concept. Throughout the material period (2015–2024) — sole founder and Director. This was not a consultancy position and not a partnership: every decision on technology, clients, operational model, and business development was made personally.

In-house technology for gondola-car unloading

Within the company's operations, an in-house technology for unloading gondola cars with bottom-discharge hatches was developed and deployed in industrial use on public-use rail track — without modification of the track structure and without capital earthworks. The technology made it possible to convert previously idle tracks into fully functional transload hubs with comparable and higher throughput than stationary terminals.

The specific engineering implementation of the technology is closed know-how and is discussed under NDA as part of partnership engagement. On public pages of this site, the concept and effects are described at a level sufficient to understand the methodology, without disclosure of engineering parameters.

Operational track record

During the active commercial period (2018–2022), HRANBUDTORH's mobile hubs handled over 7,000 railcars of various types and approximately 500,000 tons of inert material. Operations ran on high-intensity stations of Ukrzaliznytsia (the national state railway of Ukraine), serving clients of national scale, and confirmed the reproducibility of the methodology across two different geographic locations with different siding conditions.

In December 2024, ownership and operational management of the company were transferred to ensure resident directorship in Ukraine while the author resides in the United States. LLC HRANBUDTORH continues to operate.

Clients and partners

The commercial base — clients of national and regional scale.

HRANBUDTORH's client portfolio formed not on a marketing basis but on the professional reputation built within the rail-logistics community of Kharkiv. Several major contracts originated from direct recommendations by the management of Pivdenna Railway — the regional division of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia.

Regional leaders
Concrete-products manufacturing and bulk-material supply
A set of large regional manufacturers of construction concrete products and national suppliers of bulk materials. Stable multi-year commercial relationships were built with each of these companies. Through the engagement with LLC ZZBK Etalon, the company gained indirect access to the supply chain of JSC Ukrgazvydobuvannia — a strategic state-owned enterprise in the energy sector.
  • LLC VK VIVAT
  • SKSM Trading House
  • LLC ZZBK Etalon
  • VO PO SPLAV-500
State sector
Quarries of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia
Quarries owned by JSC Ukrzaliznytsia, operating under the company's Production Facilities Department. Against the backdrop of publicly acknowledged unprofitability of the railway's quarry segment, HRANBUDTORH played a material role in organizing the sales channel for these quarries — through procurement of crushed stone, rail delivery, and subsequent unloading via mobile hubs in Kharkiv. Concentrated multi-million-UAH procurement volumes over 2019–2021 made the company one of the systemically significant buyers for that segment of Ukrzaliznytsia.

Academic foundation of the methodology

The concept is documented in two peer-reviewed publications.

Following the conclusion of the active operational phase, the accumulated practical experience was systematized in collaboration with Prof. Denys Lomotko (UkrDUZT) and formalized into two peer-reviewed publications. Prof. Lomotko is Doctor of Technical Sciences, Head of the Department of Transport Systems and Logistics at UkrDUZT (368 publications, 211 peer-reviewed), and an Academician of the Transport Academy of Ukraine and the Academy of Technical Sciences of Ukraine. The initiative for joint work came from Prof. Lomotko after the case of non-standard use of rail infrastructure at Kharkiv-Balashovsky and Kharkiv-Sortuvalny stations came to his professional attention.

Education

International Institute of Management, Business and Law (IIMBL), Sloviansk, Ukraine, 1993–1996. Completed by external study with distinction. Specialization: Marketing Director — Specialist in Markets and Prices.

Current activity

Methodology adaptation to the U.S. market. Focus — Class III short-line networks in the southeastern U.S.

In July 2025 — deliberate relocation from California to the State of Tennessee, in close proximity to active rail infrastructure. The current focus is the adaptation of the Anywhere Logistics methodology to the U.S. market: commercialization in partnership with Class III short-line operators and major bulk-material suppliers across the southeastern states.

In parallel — academic activity (maintaining the peer-reviewed foundation and developing the conceptual core of the methodology), discussions with prospective U.S. deployment partners, and work with donor organizations on the Ukrainian reconstruction-logistics track.
